... I know it's been over a month since I last wrote and since then I have truly disappeared. I swear to you that many times each day I open up my blog page, have a ton of things to write about, and then ADD kicks in and I come up with 300000 other things I want to do before summer is over. See.... the blog is always here, but my summer vacation is not. And it's half way over and I have a lot to do still.
Thus far we have had an amazing summer and I'm excited to blog all about it, but it may not happen until school is back in session and I get more into a routine because right now I wake up, check my daily planner to see what I have going on that day, and base my day off of that. I have weekly to do lists - not so much daily - and I'm loving it! But don't you worry - I still have my color coded to do lists:) oh yes - summer cannot take the type a out me.
I'm in the middle of quite a few apartment projects including randomly changing my curtains and color scheme in the the living room, adding the old curtains to the guest room, on the hunt to make and finish our bedroom with black out curtains and adding a few sconces to the wall that have been sitting on my dresser for 4+ months, and create our huge photo wall up the staircase - preferably I'd love all of this done within the next 3 weeks before my mom gets here for her to see:) Derrick is well aware and I'm convinced he might start avoiding coming home to avoid these projects.
On top of that I have camp, tutoring, trainings, setting up my classroom early and helping my mentee (new teacher) to set up hers, and writing a paper that I have pushed so far out of my head I don't even know how many pages it's supposed to be... oops:)
Oh yea anddd we just got back from a 2 week vacation to Spain and then Delaware, are getting scuba certified, and trying to plan a quick 3 or 4 day last minute scuba/beach/carribean vacation.
I might have turned 28 yesterday too:) Another year older and as my mom so graciously reminded me on my birthday 'gosh I just cannot believe you are almost 30' --- not helping mom ---- 'I mean you still seem like your 19...' ---- not sure that helped either. Meh - I'll go with it. To make her 'feel better' I should've reminded her that in 2 years all of her children will be 30 and up... how's that for old?
No big deal... I'm not THAT busy right?
So check back... but not too soon - I can't tell you when I'll finally finish my to do list to get back into the groove of blogging - but when I do it will be glorious - that I can promise you:)
