"Worrying is simply telling God that you don't think He can handle the small and large events of your life..."
I love this. I need to live by this quote and stop worrying so much. I don't know why but when I truly think about it I'm always worrying about something (I do know why... my mother is always 25 steps ahead of the game and stressed out - I inherit this from her).
Currently I'm worried about:
-not getting the witch hat in time for our Halloween walk tomorrow at school (okay really... will anyone care?)
- not finishing my Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving when we are celebrating (seriously ... I think my mom and sister will be just fine if I have to ship something to them a little later)
- getting to all of my reading groups every week - this has been so hard the past couple of weeks with so many events going on and as much as I know the kids need this small group time with me, I also know that it needs to be valuable and a time they are focusing... no sense in pulling them back tomorrow when they are in full costume!
- Christmas and New Years -- I really want Derrick to be off for both but that has never happened in the 4 years I've known him and I have no control over it
- getting my apartment cleaned every week.... c'mon I'm not that popular that people are over here everyday
- getting my runs in - it's okay for me to take a couple days or even a week off every now and then.... I'm not going to gain 10 lbs
- it's okay to eat out a lot in 1 week and not feel bad about it -- sure I don't want to or like to but sometimes it happens and I still had fun with friends
Okay... now that I got it off my chest I feel better -- not as worried:)
More to come this week such as the race we recently ran and photos, my Halloween costume, cute Mia at Dogtoberfest, and more:)

Good morning fall
The chilly mornings have arrived (90 still during the day) and I loved looking out into the porch this morning. It looked like fall... Although the change in color might be more of the dead leaves from a drought it still looked pretty! They are calling for a high of 75 on wednesday low of 48! I'll be happy to get out of these 90 degree days!

Breast Cancer
Recently a friend and coworker was diagnosed with breast cancer. This is the first time I have personally known someone affected by it. She has a 2 year old and a 5 year old... she is young... thriving... and diagnosed. She is currently finalizing appointments to beat this and become a survivor. I found this video on youtube and fell in love with it -- it's awesome how the WHOLE hospital is involved:)

Icky
I've been feeling kind of icky these past few days. Mostly just a bad stomachache - last night I was up for a long time thinking I was going to throw up but never did. I'm just trying to get my stomach feeling better again but until then I'm laying low and avoiding screen time to help with headaches.

What I'm wanting...
Yesterday I was loving, today I'm wanting:) 'Tis the season!
I really want another pair of Sperry's. I love my current ones and live in them but these are my next purchase - a little dressier and they will go with anything. Plus, they are only $49.99 at Dillards!

Toms. I love these. They are so casual and I love gray right now. Plus, every shoe bought another is given to someone in need.
These running water bottles are awesome. I run with a mini Dasani water bottle and it leaks all over my hand and it hard to drink out of with just a normal top - not a pop top. These are awesome with the case around them plus it's a place to put my key (I currently hold it while running).
Really, that's all I can think of. Not that bad!
