On Day 3 we planned to go ziplining! We were soooo excited! We woke up early, headed in for a good breakfast, came back up to gather our money, coat ourselves in sunscreen and bug spray (we both got a little burnt the day before from our long sea turtle expedition), and camera. I had set up the zipline tour prior to coming out here and the man called to verify me the night before at the hotel. We were all set for 9:00. So we got there a little early and waited, and waited..... and waited....... finally we just gave up. We knew there were a TON of people down on the beach just waiting to take our money and do the same exact tour so that's where we headed. We met some of the locals and they set us up with our tour for the following day at 9:00. We also got it for $40 each rather than $50 which was what I was planning on paying:) It all worked out. As we headed back up to put on our suits a woman offered me her daily "special" (it's only special if you don't offer that everyday but hey... whatever) 1 hour massage for $35!! ON THE BEACH! Um yes... where do I sign!?!?! It was BEYOND fantastic massage. The hotel has their massage table set up closer to the pool so hear all of the crazy commotion and theirs is $50 for an hour. Mine was literally secluded away, right by the ocean, listening to the waves crash, and only $35. I read a ton of reviews online about this and they all raved about the beach massages. I was so happy to have done this.
I then met up with Derrick by the pool, enjoyed some lunch, grabbed some cocktails, napped (shocker...), and we got ready early enough to head down to the beach for some sunset photos. UH-MAZE-ING. Indescribable! The whole trip was worth that very moment of seeing the sun over the mountains and with the ocean in the foreground. Shew.
We headed to dinner at the Asian restaurant which was pretty good. All buffet (2 of the 3 restaurants are specialty buffet and the Steakhouse is a 5 course served dinner) but still pretty good. We walked around, watched some of the shows, and headed in. We had a ziplining event that we did not want to be tired for the next day!
Confused...bored...waiting on the ziplining tour that didn't show up
