Hot Sauce festival

Shewwwwww-weeeeee it was hot outside. 2 Sundays ago we heard about the hot sauce festival in town and opted to go. Miraculously, even thoug it was record temps and the hottest day of the entire summer - 114 degrees, we had a pretty good group show up with us. We brought our lawn chairs, blanket, water, and hats to stay cool. We set up camp right by the stage where a different band went on every hour and ended up also being directly under the biggest tree there. It actually wasn't THAT hot if we were under the tree and out of the direct sun. But.... when we ventured out for some tasting and buying - holy hell --- we were in hell. It was unbearable hot. I could only stand it for about 10-15 minutes at a time and then had to go take a break.

Derrick and I trying to stay cool

Our seats right by the stage and in the shade - perfect
It wasn't too busy yet -- but it got packed! TX doesn't mess around with Hot Sauce no matter how hot it is

UT clown I love

Hilarious fan I got

Band playing but the girl with the umbrella was super weird with an awesome voice

Chloe (pink tube top) who I work with and her friend and I staying cool

After the festival we met up with some friends on their boat for a lil bit and then headed home.

It was an awesome Sunday. I love when Derrick is off on weekends - we really try to live it up and explore Austin more and more. We are loving this city more and more and more and more everyday.
