Not only are we supposed to and hopefully going to close on February 28, but this will also be the same day that the school board and legislature meet to vote on the budget cuts and decide what will happen, what will not happen, and where we go from here.
There has been a ton of speculation about all of these cuts. Were the proposed cuts really "leaked" to the public or was it planned by a politician to create an uproar and an outcry? Does Austin just need to create a big enough fuss and the money will "miraculously" appear and a politician will save the day? (notice all of the political notes... a lot of people think this is a political coy). Can we use the extra emergency money to save us?
I don't want to get up my hopes... don't worry I'm not... but a lot of people think this is all just too crazy and too much right now. Too many decision made before we even know what the plan is -- there is no plan! So February 29 I hope to have at least 1 good thing to blog about... either a new condo or a brighter outlook on my job!
